🌿 Time in Salento: slow living that comes from the heart of the earth

My name is Maria Novella , and I live in Salento as one lives in a poem. Here I learned that living slowly is not staying behind, but returning to oneself.

In Salento, time stretches out like an embroidered tablecloth, spread out in the August sun.
Here we live to the rhythm of the land and the sea.
You don't run: you breathe .

There is a grace in this slowness.
Hands knead bread like they used to,
gestures are passed down silently,
women tell stories between the lines of lace,
and the sea sings ancient secrets, in front of the prickly pears and the dry stone walls.

In my artisanal work I have chosen to follow this rhythm:
my ceramics are not just an object,
but a story.
Each piece is created to accompany you in your everyday life,
like a stone smoothed by time,
like a song in the evening.

My collections are inspired by this:
at the slow pace of nature ,
to the strength of the roots ,
to the silent beauty of the essential .
You will find simple but soulful shapes,
enamels that smell of sea and land,
and details that speak of home.

🌀 Salento slow living is also this:

• The scent of coffee amidst morning chatter.

• The pinch that vibrates in the heart, even in silence.

• The old tiles, the white of the lime, the gold of the sunset on a terrace.

• The wind among the olive trees, which satisfies and consoles.

Here, living slowly is not a luxury,
it's a choice of love .
For ourselves, for those around us, for the land that hosts us.

🌞 The gannets, the sea and the good choirs up there so they never go away.
